One of the books that is good and not boring I have read is 365 CARS YOU MUST DRIVE. It has lots of cars pictures, detailed info, and performance info. My favorite co. is Ferrari because they were my first car co. I ever learned, they make super fast and luxurious super cars, and they are very low priced for what you get.
